Museum of Ice Cream🍦
Nothing says summer quite like a big bowl of ice cream. If you’re more of a spoon out of the carton kinda person, don’t worry, I won’t judge.
Out of all the sweet treats that make my heart skip a beat, ice cream is always there for me—and yes, if you’re keeping score, cupcakes are still at the top of my favorite treats list. So when the Museum of Ice Cream announced they were coming to Los Angeles, I knew I needed to get tickets.
I’m sure you’re wondering why this was such a big deal for me. Why would someone set not one, but two alarms on their phone to buy tickets during work hours? I’m so glad you asked.
The very pink Museum of Ice Cream is the perfect spot for tons of Instagram-worthy photos, including a giant sprinkle-filled pool, life-size gummy bears, and even though I consider mint chocolate chip a lesser ice cream flavor, a room full of fresh mint. Not only are the “exhibits” ice cream inspired, the rooms include ice cream and topping samples.
Seriously, what more could you ask for? I cannot explain how excited I was when our reservation date finally arrived. Since I bought the tickets almost 2 months in advance, I almost forgot about the feeling I had when I originally purchased our tickets. But on the day, all that excitement came flooding back and I was mentally (and physically) prepared for all things ice cream.
Upon arrival, I felt like a kid in a candy store—well, more like a kid in an ice cream store. The samples ranged from; one of the most delicious salted caramel ice creams, gummy bears, mint chocolate chip mochi and even an activated charcoal cookie dough, which in all honesty, wasn’t really my thing.
But even with questionable cookie dough, I was in an ice cream wonderland. It could’ve been a side effect of all the free samples, but the Museum of Ice Cream definitely left me with the feeling of a very magical sugar high.
